    Affordable Health Care

    Helping Ourselves to Help Others

Like many self-employed individuals and small business owners who struggle to support their families, child care providers know that health coverage is a necessity, not a luxury, as it offers providers the freedom to faithfully discharge their duties toward their young wards while simultaneously securing the well-being of themselves and their families.

That is why Child Care Providers United (CCPUnited) of California is very proud to have unveiled a historic package of health, dental, and prescription programs in 2008 exclusively for CCPUnited members and their families.

The health benefits package marks a significant milestone for our growing union; it is the culmination of many years of struggle, determination, and hard work to bring affordable health coverage to child care providers and their loved ones.

CCPUnited members and their families began enrolling in Spring 2008 in order to take advantage of the affordable monthly premiums, dental coverage, and drug discount package.

    Benefits include:

    • Low cost health insurance start ing at under $150 a month
    • Doctor visits with no co-pay
    • Preventative care
    • Dental care starting at $24 per month for single coverage
    • Free or discounted drugs for those who qualify through the PhRMA Patient Assistance Program

When we originally formed CCPUnited, we knew that health care was one of our members' biggest needs and one of CCPUnited's biggest hurdles. We promised to work hard to find a way to help providers and their families access affordable health coverage. We got it done.
